A is for….All Aboard

A is for….All Aboard

The day has finally arrived and everyone’s ticket has been punched, but it's not too late to jump aboard.  You can sign up here until Monday night.  Together we have already swelled to 1648 strong and once this train gets moving there will be no slowing it down.  How awesome is that?!  But there is still room for you!

Our fearless leader Arlee, along with his co-hosts, have slaved for months making sure every T is crossed and I dotted, ensuring each participant is as prepared as they can be for the next 26 days. I don’t know about you, but I’m psyched!  Since I’m not doing a theme and for the most part I’m winging this (some post are already scheduled), I totally expect to be a frazzled mess on May 1st.

But I’ll be a mess with a satisfied smile on my face.  :)

Who's taking this trip with me?  All-aboard!

  4. This challenge is definitely a good reason to get myself back into the swing of blogging as I've been a bit slack of late. Yes, I'm charged! :)

  5. I'm just as prepared as I was last year. Which means I'm going to have to get up at about 5:30 each morning to try and figure out what to write.

  6. I'm on the train. Did I tell you I'm also doing a 20-stop blog tour in April? Yes, I'm CRaZZY.

  8. haha - I'm winging it too - no theme for me, but I did the same thing last year and never really had issues with what I should write about. And 1526 people?! WHOA. That's incredible!

  17. I'm not sure yet, if I'll have a theme develop, or if I'll just be winging it. This is my first time trying this challenge. I hope it helps me with new sorts of blogging ideas as well as giving me the chance to see some new blogs/bloggers.

  18. I have a theme (Jerusalem), I have my words (or names in my case), but I haven't written or scheduled posts. Hope I get through this... ~Miriam

  34. Cool start to the month. :) Already I have read so many great posts. Can't wait for each day's readings

    ReplyDelete
  35. I made out a list of topics and wrote about a half-dozen of my posts in advance, but part of the reason I started blogging was to force myself to write something everyday, so A to Z slots right - or write! - into that goal.

    ReplyDelete
  36. It's already a smashing success! And I love wingin it! I do have my characters selected for each letter, but I write the post spontaneously. I did that last year with no theme and it was the most fun I'd had blogging... just picking a word and going with it.
I definitely see a blog-cation for May in my future!!!

  44. I'm with ya, HL = I have 25 of 26 posts scheduled w. books I've read, but I haven't yet written any recommendations after A (got it posted on time at least).

As a military brat, I understand about not having a hometown, too. So now, home is where we make it!

  45. As you know, I was going to pre-write and schedule, but then the Great Notebook Mystery of 2012 occurred and have nothing written except for A, which I did yesterday. So I think I'm something hybrid: everything planned, yet nothing written. So I'm not really a pantser, maybe more of a capri-er...I think it's good that there's at least a few hosts who aren't completely done with all their posts so we can relate to those challenge participants who are wining it along with us. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. As to the frazzled mess? Yup. I'll be right there with you.

  50. As I posted on the A-Z blog earlier... but will repeat here...
    Bought my ticket early...
It's been inspected, punched, stored safely in my bag, and I've secured a good seat with an excellent view of the passing landscape!

  58. Frazzled? Yes indeed. Last year, I had more than week's posts done before we started. Not this year; as of yesterday, I'd finished A.

But don't get me wrong. I'll be smiling the entire way. Partly because I'll be enjoying myself, but mostly because it makes other people think I'm up to something.

    ReplyDelete
  59. It's going to be a wild ride! Where's Mr. Toad? Cheers from Let's Get Out of Here!

    ReplyDelete
  60. I'm aboard and flying by the seat of my pants. I post every day as a matter of course...but I usually start writing and go where my thoughts take me (having ADHD helps). this is different for I have a place where I need to end up. Darn train!

    ReplyDelete
  63. Good luck with your challenge. No, I'm not doing it, but I'll swing by every now and then to show support :)

    ReplyDelete
  64. I'll be on the platform at the train station watching as everyone rides past. I'm hoping to visit lots of new blogs thanks to Lee, but I'm not posting in A-Z this year. I'm on a roll in my mg novel and don't want to mess up my muse. Have fun everyone!
