Let’s Get Ready to RUMBLE!!

The votes have been tabulated and the slush-pile readers have spoken. I now have a list of 40 contestants (out of 171 entries) that beginning on Monday (May 18^th) will duke it out in daily bouts for a chance to hear their name called out as the WRiTE CLUB 2015 Champion.

Who are those 40?  Well…you’ll have to show up for the bouts to find out.  I learned early on while designing this contest that if I announced the names of the contestants up front a significantly smaller number of people showed up to read and vote during the actual fights.  That was disappointing. So to keep that from happening the contestants find out they're part of WRiTE CLUB at the same time as everyone else.

From everything I’ve seem was have an exceptional batch of submissions this year and the slush-pile readers definitely had their work cut out for them. Speaking of which, I’d like to take a moment to recognize and thank the dozen member panel who helped to select our contestants this year.  They are:
